willの覚え方：語源
willの語源は、古英語のwillanから来ています。この言葉は「望む、願う、意志を持つ」という意味があります。willは現在、未来の意志や計画を表すときに使われています。
willの類語と使い分け
- 未来の意志を表す。例えば、「I will go to the store tomorrow.」（明日、私は店に行くつもりです）
- willと同義語で、より古風な言い方。また、提案や約束を表すことが多い。例えば、「Shall we go to the park together?」（一緒に公園に行こうか）
- going toの短縮形。未来の予定や計画を表す。例えば、「I'm gonna study English tonight.」（今晩、英語を勉強します）
